I just love, love, love this series. S.J. McCoy writing and descriptions makes me want to move to Summer Lake and find a hot romance as all of these characters have found. We have seen Chase, the lead singer of the local band, in books before this one. He is a bit of a ladies man. He meets Kenzie, whom we met in Megan and Michaels' story, and is wowed!!! Kenzie and Chase have an incredible night of loving (hot loving). Here's the problem, Kenzie has to go back to Nashville (or so she thinks). She has low self esteem. She has a loving sister and future brother in law who would happily help her, but she is s stubborn one. Something happens when Kenzie goes back to Nashville causing Chase to come rescue her. From that moment on we have a wonderful storyline developing. Both of these people are going blind in a relationship because it's a new thing for both of them. There are a few misunderstandings along the way. Kenzie is a runner, therefore I'm glad that she became great friends with Smoke and Laura. They help her see how her life could be. This is a great addition to this series, and I am eagerly awaiting the next book. I love visiting with characters that I gave my all to in previous books. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger. Give this series a try because you won't be disappointed. You could read this as a stand alone, but I feel that you will enjoy the book more if you know more about the characters and their backgrounds.Product details

Another fun read in the series. It is great to see new realtionship between the remaining charachters and fun to catch up with the old ones as well. There really are a great group of friends that I enjoy reading about and listening to their banter. The entire series is just a fun read with both laughs and passion.
As always SJ McCoy writes a great story. They are fun, steamy and fast pace. This one is no exception. I have to say that these characters are good but not my favorite in the series. I liked how Kenzie straightens out her life but she kind of annoyed me with the "I'm going to run" attitude. It's a good read and I am waiting for Ben's story!
WOW what can I say I am hooked on this series..I have loved everyone of these books and so Happy there are more left to read. I don't know what I will do when I'm finished reading them all.
I loved this series, the setting, the ambiance.. I felt as if I knew them all, and was a bit sad that it was over when I read the last one.
The relationships were all a little different, of course, and they all had their little hangups, which, at times made me want to slap somebody... but the characters always managed to overcome the problems. (I'm sure you're all familiar with that format.) They were all seemingly leading charmed lives, and I do love happy endings.
Kenzie has made many bad choices in her short life, has no confidence in herself. Chase has lead the life of a musician and had no qualms about being in many one night stands. Now they each have to look at their past, put it away and start a new life.
This story is about confidence, learning to trust yourself and others. A very good story, well written. Now heading on to book 7.
Things have started heating up down at Summer Lake, especially with Kensie and Chase. We first were introduced to Kensie in Laugh Like You Never Cried, she is Megan's big sister, who felt she did not belong in Summer Lake. Boy, was she ever so wrong. Once she meets the lead singer of the resort's prize band, Chase, her life takes a big turn to the unexpected.
S J McCoy blows it out of the water again with this one of a kind love story, while continuing to let us be part of this unique set of friends. She proves that friendship is the greatest treasure a person can have. She shows that it is not where you are now in your life, it is about what happens in the past that shapes you. In her own words, "Everyone has something to deal with."
This is a wonderful continuation to the Summer Lake Series. S J McCoy is an excellent storyteller and will have you begging for more.
I love this author! I've read her 'Remmington Series', and now I'm 5 books into this series, and so far....I have loved them all. Through her wonderful descriptions, S.J. McCoy has a way of making the readers want to move to the Summers Lake Resort area, for a chance to become a part of this wonderful group of friends.
Kenzie has come to Summer Lake to check on her little sister, Megan, and to make sure she is okay. While she's there, she ends up meeting one very sexy lead singer in the band. The first time their eyes met across the room, the tempatures instantly rose at least a good 20 degrees and the sparks between them started to fly. And yet, they hadn't touched or even spoken a word to each other..... yet. They both had the same thought; a one night stand with will be enough to get this strong attration to one another out of their system, and they'd be able to move on. But that's not the case at all, because even after Kenzie goes back to Nashville, neither one of them seem to be able to forget that one sizzling night of heated bliss they shared. Unfortunately there is something major that happens to Kenzie in Nashville, that has Chase running to her rescue, which also leeds her back to Summers Lake, once again. Then it really gets very interesting and very hot and heavy between these two, but will their insecurities stand in the way of finding their HEA? You'll have to read it to find out.
I am so addicted to this series, and can't seem to get enough. I love all of the people and the close cameraderie between all of these friends. They have so much fun together, but not one of them is perfect. They all have their faults, some more than others, but they always seem to have each other to lean on when the things get rough. I can't help it....I am still waiting for Ben's story. He's intrigued me from the very start of this series, and I can't wait to see what makes this man tick.
